Points balance stored as a customer metafield in Shopify. On checkout, a Shopify Script (or Function) validates the discount code generated server-side. Clerk handles passwordless auth (magic links, Google sign-in) and syncs customer identity to Shopify via webhook. No separate loyalty app required — fully native to the Shopify theme.
